The Quest Log
Software and Services built by Pakistani Makers, in the open.
A directory of products and businesses built by Pakistani Makers in The Wandering Pro community, and the Wanderers behind them. Some are SaaS tools with paying customers, like SalesGenie. Others are apps, agencies and publications, like Pakistan.gg, Leadboffin and SK NEXUS. Two are in Wander Labs, and the rest are mentored in the Discord.
Wander Labs Quests
The two Quests in Wander Labs: SalesGenie, coached 1-on-1, and SK NEXUS, which Saqib is building himself.

Coaching★ Flagship Quest
SalesGenie
SalesGenie is a Discord CRM for paid communities. When someone joins a server, it opens a private 1-on-1 conversation, answers their questions, qualifies them and walks them to the paid tier, and anyone who isn’t ready yet gets a lead magnet and a follow-up on a date they pick. Haroon started building it in December 2025 after running community management for Discord owners and watching new members slip away in their first few days. It now runs in 25 paid communities with 500k+ members between them.
Haroon joined Wander Labs in January 2026, and our first call was mostly cutting: the niche-by-niche question builder went, the landing page became an email capture, and he got 14 days to reach production. He made it. Since then the 1-on-1s have moved with the business, from an architecture review with Bahroze that swapped one giant prompt for an orchestrator and smaller models, to a sales motion that runs on calls (audit, booked call, then price). These days it’s pricing tiers and yearly plans, on the Road to $10k MRR.
Building
SK NEXUS
SK NEXUS is a tech publication for everyday readers, the people who want to know what a new gadget or AI tool means for them without wading through insider jargon. I started it on Wix in 2019, moved it to WordPress, ran the Tech Made Fun podcast for 23 episodes, and brought it to Substack in 2025, where Mohib Ur Rehman, Yousaf Babur and I write Deep Dives, Series and buying guides. It went paid in July 2026 at $5/month, with no sponsorships.
In September 2026 I put it in Wander Labs as my own Quest, coz if I’m going to ask Wanderers to build something of their own in the open, I should be held to the same bar (yes, I coach myself, it’s as weird as it sounds). So the weekly team call turns into a public update in the Discord, growth bets get written down before they’re tried, LinkedIn for reach and Substack for the conversation, and the numbers go up where everyone can see them. It sat at 608 subscribers when the Quest started, and October was its best month for signups on record.
SaaS and Developer Tools
Software products and tools built by Pakistani Makers, from lead finders to open-source backends.
Mentoring
Leadboffin
Leadboffin finds local businesses in London with no website or a weak one and packages them into qualified lead lists for freelance web developers and small agencies, so every pitch starts with someone who actually needs a site. It began as Outreach Studio, an AI tool that found those businesses, summarized what was wrong and drafted the email, and Atif renamed it in October 2026 once the offer got sharper. He builds it alongside university and freelance work, and pitched it live at Wanderers + Chai.
Most of the mentoring has been about cutting. My first review in July said lead gen, outreach and follow-up were 3 products, and our call in August came down to one line: as an indie builder, your biggest power is focus. So he picked a lane (AI lead generation), then a market (the UK, using Companies House data), then one price. The rule now is sell first, build later, which means collecting the leads by hand, DMing five London agencies, and only automating what someone has already paid for.
Mentoring
Spectres
Spectres is a workspace for freelancers and small agencies: clients, projects, Fiverr and Upwork orders, contracts, invoices, expenses and teams in one dashboard, with rupee support built in. Sarmad, a JavaScript freelancer from Multan with three years of client work behind him, launched it solo in August 2026 and has kept shipping since, including Guardian AI agents that watch your deadlines, a kanban board, and a discussion panel on every task.
He was about to put money into Facebook ads when we first spoke, and the call went the other way. His buyers already sit in a public list (Top Rated Plus freelancers in Pakistan billing $30+/hour), so reach them yourself first and hire someone on commission later. Since then it’s been one segment, one goal, the first paying customers, and one question before every new feature, which is whether anyone has committed to pay for it. As I told him, if you’re saying your app is for everyone, your app is for no one.
🎓 Graduated
OSForms
OSForms is an open-source form backend for developers, freelancers and agencies who are tired of per-submission paywalls. You bring your own keys (Resend for email, Google Sheets over OAuth), it handles webhooks, auto-replies, CORS whitelisting and per-integration logs, and you can self-host the whole thing. Bahroze turned a utility he kept rebuilding across client projects into a product: public in February 2026, open-sourced with webhooks the same month, @osforms/react on npm by March, and docs plus a blog by June.
The Wander Labs rule for OSForms was the 3 questions, one deliverable, 14 days, and the bare minimum that counts as done, and it shipped on that clock. After launch the advice flipped from building to being found, since an open-source dev tool rarely wins on features alone. That meant docs in Markdown with an llms.txt so AI agents can read them, a 37-article content plan I put together, and a Reddit routine of answering first and promoting rarely. It graduated with a full case study.
Data, Media and Community
Records, publications, writing and community tools built in public.
Mentoring
Pakistan.gg
Pakistan.gg is the record of Pakistani esports: player profiles, match history, rankings and an earnings tracker, with a source behind every result. It went live on October 18, 2026 with 138 players, 113 tournaments and 437 results across Tekken, PUBG Mobile, Free Fire and Dota 2, and fans can follow a player, team or game to get a personal email every Saturday. Moeez, one of our very first members, builds it with Claude agents doing the research and him checking everything they flag.
Launching about 200 pages at once is exactly what Google can read as scaled content, so the first thing we worked through was proving the data is original: sourced results, no AI-written text, and noindex on any profile with fewer than three results. Pages started indexing the week after, mostly off PUBG Mobile tournament searches. The other call was focus. SEO is the one channel until the site hits 50k impressions a month, social media is parked, and the Discord invite sits behind an email signup so his first 100 fans are people he can actually reach.
🎓 GraduatedUmro Ayyar
Umro Ayyar is the bot platform behind HackTheBox Islamabad and BSides Pakistan, one stable core running separate feature bots. Its first module, GateKeeper, syncs Meetup.com RSVPs into Discord, handles onboarding and roles, and hands out HTB Enterprise lab access, the admin Mustafa used to do by hand before every meetup. He’s a DFIR specialist and a Wander Labs mentor, and he built almost all of it with Claude Code on discord.py, SQLite and Azure.
The kickoff in April set the shape: map the workflow, then build manual triggers first (“three buttons, not three autonomous systems”). When the design doc grew past three days of planning, I cut it to 3 or 4 pages plus a user story map and pointed everything at one real deadline, meetup #43. On May 23 it onboarded 50 people live with 0 crashes and 0 data lost, became Umro Ayyar a few days later, and graduated in June.
Writing Journey
Writing Journey is Fatima’s writing practice, turned into a portfolio on Medium. She went from zero to 15+ published articles in about six months, starting in February 2026, and two of them were picked up by the Medium publication Health Management: “Why You Can’t Focus Even When You Want To” and “The Pressure To Constantly Improve Yourself”. Her writing sits across three pillars, Mind Mechanics, Social Mind and Self Growth.
The unlock was the least technical advice on this whole page: publish it, put your name on it, stop waiting. After that it was craft. Find the one sentence where you say what most people get wrong, and an explainer turns into an opinion. Treat pillars as buckets, which she took so literally she came back the next day with a 25 to 30 topic roadmap. And write to write, without watching the views. She published again within the week.
Mobile and Web Apps
Apps for students, habits and chat, shipped to the Play Store or the web.
Mentoring
CampuStitch
CampuStitch is a campus app for UET Faisalabad, where the campus sits on the bypass outside the city and getting anywhere is a daily problem for hostel students. Right now it does two things, ride sharing and buying and selling between verified students, with services, rentals and communities saved for later. Hammad is a final-year CS student building it alone. The MVP went to Google Play review in October 2026, and 20 students signed up to test it within two days, each one pitched in person between lectures.
His first plan had a lot more features and four student teams. Haroon (from SalesGenie) told him to cut to two or three features and one university, and my push was that marketplace features are easy to copy, so the real work is getting students to use it: pick the one problem that helps on day one, and ask ten people how they handle it today. He cut to two features and found his 20 testers. Now we’re working through trust, because when strangers trade cash in person the collateral is identity, so it’s verified student cards, safe meetup spots, in-app chat as a record, and ratings with report and ban.
🎓 Graduated
Systivia
Systivia is a habit tracker built on identity. You pick who you want to become and every habit hangs off that person, skipping a day on purpose is allowed so there’s no streak guilt, and progress shows as how closely your days match the identity you picked. Zaeem applied to Wander Labs in December 2025, and Systivia went live on Google Play in June 2026, built on React Native and NestJS with a custom recurrence engine underneath.
Most of the coaching was scope. The week planner, the hourly and yearly habits, the cron system and a Discord bot all got cut, and by February the call was MVP-ready, stop building, ship. Then I set one goal, Android plus the 12 testers the Play Store wants before you can publish, and the way to get them was being genuinely active in an Android dev community. It shipped on June 9 and graduated with a case study.
SyncSpace
SyncSpace is a real-time chat app in the spirit of Discord, built from scratch as Abdul’s way out of tutorial hell. It runs on React and Socket.io over Node and PostgreSQL, with proper auth, an API on Render, a React frontend and server invites with secure tokens, and for a while it lived on an old laptop he turned into a Linux server (my favorite detail on this page, I’ll admit). Where it’s headed is team chat with org-level user management.
The kickoff in June set the bar: stop building for the portfolio, because one project a hundred real people use beats fifteen. So he swapped a 10-stage plan for a story map, cut the MVP to sign up, add a friend and send a message, and started posting standups module by module like a dev on a team. When I asked when we could see a hosted version, a live URL showed up six days later. He’s still building, at his own pace.
Agencies and Services
Service businesses built around one niche and one offer.
Mentoring
Whatnotdev
Whatnotdev builds custom CRMs for HVAC companies in the US, on custom code, GoHighLevel or HubSpot, with a mobile app for the technicians out on jobs. Mursaleen is a BS Artificial Intelligence student in Islamabad who runs it with a cofounder, and he joined the community in October 2026 with one goal written at the top of his thread: from zero to the first US client.
Our first call was about picking one door, meaning one offer, one proof, one price and one buyer. Ecommerce went, HVAC stayed, and the site got rebuilt around it. Your profile is the landing page, so he started on LinkedIn and is moving to Instagram reels, since a lot of trades owners live there and a reel starts the conversation a DM closes. Two days after that call he was back in his thread with the next update.
AI Automation Agency
Arslan’s Quest is an AI automation service for dental clinics in Islamabad, starting with the front desk work that eats a clinic’s day: bookings, patient flow and follow-ups. He’s a developer who came up on Fiverr and Upwork and has worked remotely for US companies, and he joined at Wanderers + Chai in October 2026. He’s testing demand before writing any code, and his first day of calls got 1 interested clinic out of 7.
The first thing to go was the word ‘agency’ (yes, it’s still in the card title). Until you clear $3,000/month on your own, you are the business card, so he sells himself and one fix for one problem. From there it’s pitch before you build, opening on “what’s taking up most of your front desk’s time right now?” and building in the clinic’s own words. And cold outreach has layers, in person beats a call and a call beats an email, so he picks what doesn’t scale on purpose.
