The
Monthly Challenge is one of the flagship activities that take place in The Wandering Pro Discord Server.

The goal of the challenge is to push people to commit to a task they can take on for a month.

We want you to

Build a habit of consistently executing on one thing for a long period of time.

Get help from a factor of peer accountability to help you succeed.

Have a safe place to work and get feedback on your progress.

The challenge has been live for 13 months now and each month over a dozen participants try their luck at it.

Many fail, few succeed.

But, it keeps the spirits up of folks trying to focus on execution.

Ideas are cheap
Execution is everything

Challenge Rules:

1. Weekdays Only – Monday to Friday are mandatory. Weekends are optional grind days.
2. Emergencies? – Just DM an admin in advance or right after. You can be exempt on case by case basis.
3. No Posting = Out – You must post daily progress (Mon-Fri). Accountability is the whole point.
4. Get Your Own Thread – Once approved, we’ll create your personal progress thread on request or you can use the challenge channel.
5. Update Format – Start each post with Day #X, then your notes, images, and or links.

Task Tiers:

Depending on what task you want to commit to, you will be assigned a tier.

Tier 1 – Product/Project Dev (Hardest)
Build something real. Software, hardware, designs – daily progress must be tangible and trackable.
This project needs to get approval and needs be something with a physical/digital output.
e.g., Building a homelab, launching a web app.

Tier 2 – Content Publishing
Write. Publish. Repeat. Daily LinkedIn posts, blog entries, newsletters – or progress logs leading up to a post.
If you fancy writing longer form content, then you can share your progress on a daily basis and share the published link once ready.

Tier 3 – Study with Notes (Beginner-friendly)
Perfect for those starting out or upskilling. Share your daily notes and what you learned.
Tip: Try pairing this with Tier 2 by writing publicly about your learning journey.

Note: It is hard to divide tasks based on tiers and there might be some that are exceptions to the rules above. If you have any queries issue, kindly discuss ahead of time.

End of Month Raffle Criteria:

Once the challenge is over, all the participants who made it through are considered in the raffle.

A total prize pool is decided based on number of participants.
Typically this ranges between 100 USD – 200 USD.

Once the challenge is nearing the end we do a raffle. The raffle is based on a lucky draw system.

Top 3 winners are decided and the prize pool is assigned to them based on their tiers.

But remember the money is just the cherry on top.

The real goal is to build habit of consistent execution.

SK NEXUS exists to promote knowledge by execution

Ideas are everywhere. Execution is rare.

No amount of money can replace the skill of discipline you will build by taking part in this challenge.

Note: We are constantly trying to improve the rules and criteria to make this a balanced challenge for everyone.
If you have feedback send it over in the relevant channel in the server.
